Our Story

Our story starts in 1998 when we started dating. Time passed, we graduated high school and college, got married and moved halfway across the country. In 2006, we received some tragic news about my dad and found ourselves in the middle of sorrow and a feeling of just existing rather than having a purpose. In July of that year, we packed our bags and moved from Dallas back to Chattanooga, TN so we could be closer to our family and would call Chattanooga our home for the next 3 plus years. Starting in September 2006, we drove the 5 hours (one way) back to Millen, GA every weekend so we could spend time with my dad until he passed away in November. After he passed, we continued the weekly trips back home until after the first of the year keeping us on the road and busy. Come Spring 2007, we begin to find ourselves "lost" because it had been a long time since we had "nothing" to do. Our lives had been filled with constant driving and staying up late into the wee hours in the morning spending what time we had left with my dad so when our lives finally got to a place where we could breathe and relax, we found ourselves bored.

We began to travel again later that year and continued traveling in the years to come to watch and support our alma-mater Georgia Southern. During these football centered trips our dream was first discussed. Every venue had shirts, fans were wearing shirts and who doesn't like t-shirts right? Over the next 10 years the idea of owning a t-shirt business would be brought up time after time. We would go on to try a few other jobs here and there, but nothing ever really stuck.

Fast forward to 2016 when I was introduced to a camp whose mission is to share love with kids who are in foster care and/or at-risk. As a volunteer for the camp Teen Reach Adventure Camp i.e., T.R.A.C. we were asked to give our campers a small gift. I will be honest, I thought, I prayed and I finally found what I wanted to give not just my camper or the girls in our cabin, but all the girls. I found a bracelet that said "my story isn't over yet". I knew that was it, but I couldn't afford to buy 30 bracelets for $12 each so I set out on a mission to find a way to make the bracelets. I first tried stamping, but quickly realized I couldn't do that. So, then I found a machine that would allow me to engrave it. Yay!! So with the machine and a dream, in June of 2016 I created BC Creations. For the next 6 months I made small things here and there, but always felt like there was more. With birthdays and the holidays at the end of 2016 and an allergic reaction at the beginning of 2017, the formation of BC Creations Boutique LLC to be a legitimate business was delayed but definitely not forgotten. During all of that, James and I found ourselves once again on the same page. We felt like we were being led to start a t-shirt business. So, from February 24th we have been on the road to making our dreams come true. BC Creations Boutique LLC has been established, is legitimate and continues to operate.

After the creation of BC Creations Boutique LLC, James and I realized we were being called to something bigger than us and my small business ideas. We spent endless nights talking and praying about names for the company. We kept going back to the times God created something out of nothing. We researched, read articles and then it all came together with an article I found. I sent James the article and it referenced that "barley is the first grain to be harvested in the Spring, and that the feast of unleavened bread celebrates the first fruits of the barley harvest" which brought to mind the story of the five loaves and two fish (passage below). We continued to pray and talk about it and during one of these talks, James told me about a name his brother Josh and a friend came up with a long time ago, 2Fish. We threw around SEVERAL other names, but the only one that seemed to keep coming back and stick was 2Fish. We felt that 2Fish  was the perfect name to incorporate with the joining of now "our business". The last step was to make sure that we had the blessing to use this name.

John 6 : 5-13 “When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?” He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do. Philip answered him, “It would take more than half a year’s wages to buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!” Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up, “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?” Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” There was plenty of grass in that place, and they sat down (about five thousand men were there). Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish. When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.” So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.”

We know that our dreams are only dreams and that we alone can do nothing. We feel like God is leading us in this direction though and our hope is in him to create something out of nothing. 10 years ago it was a way to pass the time, but over the last several years, it's a way to have more flexibility and be able to spend more time with our kids which is a huge goal for us. BC Creations Boutique LLC was named after our kids and it's purpose is to remind everyone they are loved. We realize the reality of our dreams can be used to help others gain skills that they might not otherwise get or have and hope in doing so we can shine God's light through our interactions. We are blessed beyond all measure. The journey life has taken us through is a part of a greater story that is unfolding each day. We know, that our blessings have nothing to do with anything we've done individually or together. The journey ahead will not be filled with blessings from anything we do or accomplish, but by God alone.
Our company is now Fish Apparel LLC.

Our goal is to consistently exceed customer's expectations by providing great customer experiences and consistent, efficient, dependable service.

Our goal for our business is to not shine our light but reflect His in everything we do. We have HUGE dreams, but they are nothing compared to what God has in store. My prayer is we never lose site or forget that everything we are and have come from Him.

Sincerely,
Winter and James Hall
